After Effects 3d Layer Disappears

After effects 3d layer disappears. If you dont immediately figure out what is going on the select all the layers giving you problems and press the u key twice. If your 3d text layer disappears it could be in the wrong order or the camera might not be pointing at it. These values cannot be restored by converting the layer back to a 3d layer. You should also be using the classic 3d rendering engine.
If i turn draft 3d on it will reappear or if i precomp it will reappear. If your layers keep disappearing a few things could be at play. Active camera is set in preview window so its not front view thing. When you convert a 3d layer back to 2d the y rotation x rotation orientation and material options properties are removed including all values keyframes and expressions.
One things for certain there are small inaccuracies in the z depth rendering in after effects its to do with the way its calculated homogenous coordinates and the numerical precision i think but layers that are very close to one another may sometimes render in the wrong order. Start turning effects off and resetting values until layers start showing up. That would account for your disappearing layer. I have a single 3d layer in my composition. If i make all the 2d layers 3d then they show up again.
The issue arises when i then right click on it and go to select 3d layer the shape disappears all together and im left with just blank space. While this layer is 2d then it looks normal. Try opening up 4 views select the 3d text layer and see where it is in aes 3d space. Usually its just a rogue keyframe to blameyou may have accidentally set the size or opacity to zero ormore likelythe layer endpoint is coming up before the end of the comp. This will reveal all modified properties of the layers. If it is where you expect it try moving it above or below the plexux layer or moving your comp camera.
